If you would like to know where the ACOG stands on VBAC/TOLAC, please check out this post from Birth Without Fear: http://birthwithoutfearblog.com/2014/01/02/vbac-what-acog-really-says/
The article above includes the following:
Risks/Benefits of a Trial of Labor after Cesarean (TOLAC)
Success Rates
Who is a candidate for TOLAC
Management of Labor
and more...
If your provider doesn't "allow" patients to VBAC, find another provider. Don't believe the blanket statement, once a cesarean always a cesarean. Do your research, ask questions and be prepared to move on.
